THE BALANCED HORSE TECHNIQUE TM “The Balanced Horse Project®” is an intelligent way to solve problems, prevent injuries and influence behavior.”
To address the Equine Body, an independent process was developed that is similar to the Alexander Technique used on humans.
The Balanced Horse Technique ® is a combination of applications relating to Organic Equine Husbandry. They work in direct relationship to support the body as it redefines posture and function.
The Balanced Horse Technique® helps the animal rediscover it’s original balanced posture by releasing unnecessary tension. It is a simple and practical method for improving freedom of movement, balance, support, and coordination. It is not a therapy or exercise, but rather a reconnection of the mind and the body. The body will not heal if the brain does not know there is a problem.
By focusing on body coordination, the Balanced Horse Technique®is applied for the purposes of recovering freedom of movement, in mastery of performance or competitive disciplines and for general self-improvement affecting poise, and well-being.
This is considered the first step in developing TRUE RESISTANCE FREE HORSES. The Balanced Horse Effect® provides a body that is ready to work and a mind that is open to learn.

“The Balanced Horse Technique® is an intelligent way to solve problems, prevent injuries and influence behavior”
Today’s horse industry has introduced equipment, techniques, technologies and medications to our sport. We experience horses with physical outbursts, painful lameness and degeneration of their bodies.
Expansion of today’s Equine Service Industry, has not resolved the major training challenges of 2000 years ago. It has created it own economy that drains 1.2 billion dollars each year out of the pockets of Horse Supporters in the United States. Training Resistance Breakdowns Hoof and Joint Issues
Why? (the most dangerous word in a horse owner’s dictionary)
Use this word when a veterinarian is diagnosing lameness, or a blacksmith who is applying corrective shoeing, or the trainer who is with a difficult horse. Listen to the technical distractions. Watch the curtain close and the conversation end. Locating or resolving the primary source of the body's mechanical breakdown has not been considered important enough to research and add to the education system. Therefore our service provider can NOT answer the question. This has resulted in an industry that does not advance. It just repeats the same philosophies with the same end result.
Can this situation improve? Absolutely! Ask us WHY?
